This past weekend, to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, a team from Glenda Studio had the privilege of traveling to Di Da Pagoda, located in Bao Lam District, Lam Dong Province, Vietnam, for a heartwarming charity event. Nestled in the mountains, this serene pagoda became the site of an unforgettable day filled with generosity, laughter, and support for those who need it most.
The event was organized to bring joy and assistance to the underprivileged community in the area. More than 150 kids and over 100 families came together to partake in the festivities, with Glenda Studio helping to make the day even more special by providing food and care packages for the families in need.
One of the event’s highlights was the array of free shops set up for the children. These shops offered a delightful variety of items—books, clothes, shoes, lanterns, toys, and backpacks. The children and families had the freedom to choose whatever they liked, and their smiles were priceless as they picked out supplies that would serve them well beyond the festival.
In addition to the free items, the event was packed with entertainment. The kids enjoyed a series of games, dancing, and performances that kept the energy high throughout the evening. It wasn’t just about receiving; it was about creating lasting memories and fostering a sense of community.
The weather, however, presented a challenge. As the team made their way to the pagoda, they were greeted by rain and wind, remnants of Typhoon Ragi's outer bands. The rough conditions were particularly difficult as the pagoda sits 5 hours drive away, high in the mountains, and navigating the roads in such weather was no easy feat. But, despite the stormy skies, the event went on. The rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of those present. In fact, it seemed to make the warmth and generosity shared among the attendees shine even brighter.
By the end of the event, the children and families went home with not only the supplies and treats they had received but also with hearts full of joy. Glenda Studio’s contribution helped make the day a success, leaving a lasting impact on the community. It was a powerful reminder of how small acts of kindness can light up even the rainiest of days.
The team from Glenda Studio returned home safely, feeling both fulfilled and inspired, knowing that they were able to make a difference in the lives of those in need, and looking forward to future opportunities to give back.
